I went to the OB on Tuesday because I was having pain again just like I did when I had to go to the ER. They did an office ultrasound and I got to see Globby with his little flicker heart beat. They did some tests and sent me on my way.

Wednesday I get a call that apparently the last round of meds masked my infection but didnt get rid of it completely. So they put me on a much higher dose of an antibiotic. I took it at 5 PM that afternoon and by 8PM I had a large gush of blood when I went to the restroom (TMI sorry). It was just that gush then it was pink and I spent all night Wednesday passing brown goo. No pain, no warning, no cramps. I called the emergency number and they told me if I dont hurt to call the office in the morning.

Thursday rolls around and they called me first before i had a chance to call them because my progesterone is low. I explained what had happened so they insisted on getting me in the office this morning.

Went this morning and they have NO IDEA what the heck happened. Globby is holding strong with a 140 heartbeat and growing like a weed. There are no explanations, no contributing factors, I just "spontaneously combusted" as my teenage daughter lovingly dubbed it.

So now Im on these nasty blue-green anti biotics and progesterone supplements that are hot pink. With those and my mutli vitamin I have a festive little pharmacy going on.

I apologize for the long post I just wanted to say hi and let you wonderful ladies know little Globby is still holding on.

Funny snippet from the visit
Doc "What are you doing here again? I just saw you Tuesday!!!"
Me " I missed you."

Doc "Okay new goal...lets try not to have to come back for at least 3 days.
Me "Ok so no spontaneous combustion until Tuesday. Got it! Make sure you save room to pencil me in."

Scary! I'm so glad that baby is doing fine. Weird about the "combustion". Bodies are so strange.

Thank you ladies. You know it is strange how your body reacts under certain situations and what it does and doesnt do. This being my 5th child I would have thought I have seen everything under the sun. Im hoping to get out of this first trimester and lets things settle down to where I am back to just a prenatal and my glyburide.
