Send a message via Yahoo to Jayden's Mama
I had my NST, fluid check and a follow up appointment. He was a turd for the NST and kept moving around so I had lay there for 40 mins. The fluid check was uneventful and then I headed to the doctor. I sat in the waiting room and exam room for over a 1/2 hour. I'm not a huge fan of the doctor I saw today. My b/p was a little higher than usual. Then it was time to go over my sugar levels. My fasting levels have been over 100 since they diagnosed me with GD but the first time they review my numbers they were ok with it well today she wasn't happy about it at all. She put me on a small dose of medication and said they can increase it if the fasting number doesn't come down. I feel like a failure and I think she saw that I was about to lose so she sat down and talked with me. She said that as long as I'm not getting up in the middle of the night to eat fudge or cookies that there isn't anything I can do about it so I shouldn't be upset. I think the reason I have been so upset is because such an easy pregnancy with Jayden and this time has been completely different.

It's hard! When I failed my 1 hour test, I was completely upset and felt horrible. Try not to let it bother you. I know, easier said than done. You're not a failure!! I'm sure you are doing the right things. Our bodies are going through so much right now. Hang in there! We're in the home stretch and soon our LO's will be here! Happy Thoughts!!

Glad baby is doing well. I'm sorry the rest of the appt didn't go as great, but I think you're doing everything you can. You can't necessarily control GD, you just have to do what you can and I think you are doing that really well.

Glad to hear baby is doing well! Sorry about the sugar levels, but try not to feel badly. You can't always do that much to control GD.
Thank you very much Meganpixel for my fabulous siggie!
