I NEVER forget my doctor appointments! Especially ones about the baby!!! But I forgot today. I live an hour from the hospital, where I also work, and I got home and sat in the recliner chair, then started cursing when I remembered. I was supposed to have the rest of my bloodwork done (I think) since I had the u/s done at 12 weeks. This would have been the follow up to that and the second part. Is it bad to be a day late? I figure if anything they can just give me the lab slip and they can measure me and whatnot another time.

They don't do another ultrasound at 16 weeks for part two...do they?

You should be fine!! My doctor said between 16-18 weeks to get the second part of the blood work done. They did not do another ultrasound for me. Sorry you forgot, but it happens to the best of us

I agree with Ashley. To my knowledge they do not do another u/s and my doctor also said 16-18 weeks for the blood work.

Mine also did not do a second ultrasound, just a second round of lab work...I'd cal them and see if you can at least get a script for the blood draw....it so sucks to accidentally forget an appointment. I hope they dont charge you. Our pedi charges twenty five bucks for missed appts. I understand why they do it but it sure sucks on top of suddenly realizing you forgot!

Thank you Kiliki for my awesome siggy!

I believe a second u/s is only if the first round of tests come back with problems.

Oh Bummer!!! I learned the hard way in my first pregnancy that when I'm pregnant my appointments HAVE to be on the same day. So.... for this pregnancy, I will ONLY schedule appointments for Thursdays! LOL I already know that if I schedule something for a different day I'll still show up on Thursday regardless! Maybe you need to do the same?

ANyways- I'm sure you will be fine and they can get the rest of your labs when you can get back in!

Aw, man! That stinks! They should be able to let you do the lab work today without any issues. A day shouldn't make a difference, and there is no second scan, just the quad screen this time. Hope you get to get in and get the blood drawn!
