When do we need to stop sleeping on our stomach/back and only sleep on our sides? I'm afraid this is going to be a problem for me, so I've been trying to make the change now. For BTDT moms, did those special pillows help? Do you remember how far along you were when you started using one?

My midwife said that as long as it's comfortable it's okay. I am a stomach sleeper and, like you, during my last pregnancy I tried to "get into the habit" early of sleeping on my side but I would NOT recommend this! Lol. Once I got down to those last months I wanted NOTHING more than to be able to sleep on my stomach, so cherish all the stomach sleeping days you have haha

As for the pregnancy pillow, I bought the boppy one and it helped to a certain extent but I would buy one that goes on both sides so that you don't have to move the entire pillow over when you want to switch sides. I think I stopped using it towards the end because of this...

I don't remember when exactly you are to switch, but I remember it just wasn't comfortable on my back after a while. Too much weight! lol! I used a body pillow. You will want something to support your tummy and something between your knees. I already owned a body pillow so that was what I used. Worked great!

Funny enough I just started using my HUGE body pillow last night (there's hardly enough room in bed with DH with this thing) and I loved it. I found I could sleep in different positions without putting too much pressure on my belly or my back...mind you I'm not gigantic yet..lol

I slept with a baby blanket behind my back to prevent me from rolling over onto it - I think they say around the start of the second trimester not to sleep on your back. I used to L O V E to sleep on my stomach, but after having M, I can't sleep on my stomach anymore, it just feels weird and isn't comfortable I wish it was
