Ever since my second trimester hit, it was like BLAM. I've thrown up every meal I've eaten (just about) for the past week, and I'm nauseas all day. What the crap?! I talked to my nutritionist about it because I'm losing weight and I'm worried, and she just told me to "Make sure you eat every two to three hours, I don't care what it is" and sent me on my way. Crackers don't help and water makes me want to barf. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Missing baby Elliott Thomas since March 10th. I love you forever and always. <3

are you sure it's not a stomach virus? It seems strange to develop morning sickness so late. I'm sorry I don't uave any suggestions but I hope it passes soon

Some women, although few, suffer from nausea all the way up until birth. I'd hate to see you're one of the unlucky few. Hopefully it clears up soon!

my MIL said in her first pregnancy she was vomiting until she gave birth. I hope that doesn't happen to you! Have you asked your OB for some Zofran? They can give you a shot and you can take the pills. It probably won't make it go away 100% but it will take the edge off...

Have you tried preggo pops? They can candy you can get at Motherhood that have ginger in them.

In terms of fluids, it isn't healthy, but when I'm sick usually the only think I can drink is soda, because the carbonation helps. You could even try flavored, carbonated water.

Also- smoothies used to be something I could get down.

I know you are probably tired of hearing but, but literally, anything you can get down is better than nothing. So if you want something weird and off kilter and completely unhealthy that you haven't eaten since you were 13, eat it anyways. I lived off of grilled cheese and pizza lunchables last pregnancy bc I had no appetite for the longest time and that was the only thing that sounded good!

So sorry you're sick!! Although nausea is most common during the first trimester it can hit anytime in pregnancy. I would eat anything you can keep down, even if its not the healthiest choice.

I got the SAME ADVICE about "eat what you can" when I was going through a horrible patch of morning sickness. All I could think was "duh!" - if I could eat without puking I wouldn't have come to you for help!

My husband didn't get it either, his advice was something akin to "suck it up and eat anyway," it was very frustrating.

I ended up with Zofran which helped a little bit. It was hit or miss as to whether or not it would keep my stomach enough to eat. Eventually it got better, but I still get randomly sick for no reason. I would keep after your team until you get something that helps.

Good luck! Feeling like crap all day is the absolute worst!

I know it sucks to hear that, but that is what all your caregivers will say, because it really is the best thing you can do, no matter what it is you're eating. I second the carbonated stuff. Ginger Ale (like Canada Dry or another brand with real ginger in it) worked great, eased my stomach a bit and got some calories in me. Sports drinks, liek Powerade/Gatorade may help, too.

But, I would ask for Zofran. It'll take the edge off. It was a lifesaver the first 16wks for me and allowed me to eat a little something which is way better than nothing at all, of course. Mine is definitely better, but I'm still randomly getting sick, too, and some days I just can't stomach the thought of eating too much of anything. I hope this passes quickly for you.
