So I've been tracking my glucose levels for over a week now. I sent last week's report to my high risk OB. My fasting glucose level (first thing in the morning) should be under 95. No matter what I am always between 97-104.

My glucose level will be on track after dinner (under 120) and I always follow the GD diet rules for my late-night snack. For some reason I am just not processing my sugar well over night.

So the high risk OB called me today and is putting me on 2.5 mg of Glyburide at bedtime each night. She says this is what she gives to 99% of her GD moms who can't control their fasting glucose levels. She warned me that if I look on-line I would only freak myself out, which is of course exactly what I did. The Glyburide is a Category C drug.

I know she is a high risk OB and she knows what she's doing, but how many more drugs can my poor body and my little Isaac handle?

So now I'm on my 4 chemo drugs, all the pre-meds they give me with each of my chemo treatments (3 anti-nausea meds, Benedryl, Zantac, etc.) the Neulasta injections for my white blood cells, high-dose Vitamin D supplements, Lovenox blood thinners, and now Glyburide? How can this not be damaging to my poor little guy?

I used to dispense glyburide when I worked in a pharmacy, but that is as far as my experience went.

Your baby is a tough nugget, he wants to be here! I am praying for you.

Crystal, I have no experience to share, but I just want to give you (((hugs))) and offer support. I think about and pray for you and Isaac often. Ami's right, he is one tough little boy and God has really got His hands on your sweet boy.

I'm sorry, I don't know about any of this. But, I will give you lots of hugs and agree with the other ladies, Isaac is a strong boy, with everything you're going through I am praying that you come out of this stronger than ever. <3
Missing baby Elliott Thomas since March 10th. I love you forever and always. <3
