am i the only one? i have been pumping since birth. but recently my stroppy little madam has become a bit more demanding. i caved and have given her formula this last week and i think that may have dimished my milk flow even more, as i can only produce 2-3 ounces every 4 to 6 hours. lillian feeds every two hours! i just cant seem to keep up. any tricks on how to make more booby juice?

I exclusively pump every 4-5 hours. I get anywhere from 5-8 ounces each time. It really varies. Try pumping more frequently....every 2-3 hours and pump 2 minutes longer than your last drop produced or 20-30 minutes....whatever happens first. Or, touch base with a lc.

*Thank you AlexKatieAidenMommy for my awesome siggie*

I started drinking water like it is going out of style and I noticed it really increased my supply. So maybe try that. I would also recommend pumping more often. My LC told me to pump 2-3 times a day for 15 minutes after Luke finishes eating. This has helped me to build a stash in the freezer and has helped my supply.

Oh I hear ya!!... I have had lots of problems, I always have, with my milk supply... I usually have to give up bf'ing about a month in... But I have managed to keep going for the moment, I must say though I have a tin of formula in our house JUST in case... I tried pumping, it didnt do alot for me to be honest... I am on tablets (Motium.. prescribed by my dr ) and it seems to be helping a little... He at least put on weight last week.. I will find out on Tuesday whether it was coincidence or not...

But I agree, I would go and see a lc and I would also say, jump onto it early... I have jumped on to it early this time and think thats the only reason we are sort of winning our battle here...
