Alright. So I'm a little concerned. I'll be 17 weeks on Sunday and I stepped on the scale this morning and I'm still down 7lbs from pre-baby weight.

At my first doctors appt I weighed in at 165.
Today 158.

What gives? Is this normal? I haven't gotten sick in weeks and I've been eating more often and healthier foods. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather gain it slowly than be huge but I'm more concerned about if I'm giving my baby enough nutrients.

Any thoughts?

I never gained much before 20 weeks with any of my pregnancies. I gained almost all o it between 20 and 35 weeks. I wouldn't worry unless your doctor seems concerned.

I wouldn't worry too much... A lot of the early pregnancy weight is the bloat (at least I think so)... I lost a total of I think 5lbs. since my first weigh in at the doctors & she wasn't worried at all, so I'm not either

Thank you Katie (.:Shortcake:.) for my beautiful siggy!!

I too am concerned. I am almost 18 weeks. It makes me wonder if my little one is growing the way he/she should be. To make matters worse, I haven't felt movement yet. I have only gained 2 pounds. With my first son I was pretty big, right now my clothes still fit...

I've almost broke even now. My doc was a little concerned when I was down a few pounds at my 12 week appointment, but I was only 11-12% bodyfat when I got pregnant, so she wants me to gain around 40 (i'm shooting for 30). I wouldn't worry until the doc worries (even though I always worry anyway)

I am still down 22 pounds from pre-baby but my doctor is not concerned. She said it is probably because i have cut out soda and am eating a lot healthier. My baby is also measuring a few days ahead of schedule as well... Baby takes what it needs before your own body does so the baby will be just fine. If your doctor isn't worried, that is a good sign.

I started this pregnancy about 20lbs overweight (mostly leftover from my son) and as of my appt yesterday i havent gained anything (actually yesterday i was down 2lbs from the first). I'm assuming thats why i havent gained yet because i know i had already gained by this point with my son. If it makes you feel better i've gained 0 and i had an u/s yesterday and baby is growing great! I dont think weight really has anything to do with it.
