Up until this week, blakely napped in her swing or in my arms. Now that I'm going back to work in july, I'm trying to start making her nap in her crib without being asleep when I lay her down. It's going fairly well, she usually fusses for a little bit but goes to sleep if I keep giving her pacifier. I lay her down when shes tired but awake.

My mom is 64 and is going to be keeping her when DH can't and I want to make it as easy on them as possible while I'm gone. I definitely don't want her wanting to nurse to sleep, which shes never really had to do thank goodness. When DH has her, she will be with him at the shop so she will have to nap in his arms or a pack n play, and when my moms home with her it'd be nice if she could just lay her in her crib and her fall asleep.

I'll keep you guys updated. Anyone doing anything similar?

Karmen was very easy at naps and bedtime because I'd lay her down awake and she'd fall asleep with her pacifier and "rabbit" which was a lovie thing she had.

I have started the same thing... So far, Sofia only wants to fall asleep in our arms and wants to be held the whole time during her naps. I'm fine with holding her until she falls asleep, but we are working on putting her in her rock and play sleeper or the cradle once she falls asleep. She usually wakes right back up, but i've just been making her sit in there until she either falls back asleep on her own or cries for a good 5 minutes first before I will pick her up. She needs to get over always wanting to be held because i know that's not going to happen at Daycare...
She's doing well today. It helps when big brother isn't here during the days as he likes to constantly wake her up...and that's frustrating..

*Thank you AlexKatieAidenMommy for my awesome siggie*

Jacob loves his swing and will usually only fall asleep in it or in my arms. Thankfully his daycare has a swing and the have been putting him in it for his naps..lol. I cannot get him to sleep in his crib. He just seems to hate it.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy

Cole will go to sleep in his crib if he's swaddled and he's sleepy. He prefers our arms though of course

Thanks so much *Kiliki* for my awesome summer siggie!

Ember falls asleep in my arms then is fine being put down... sometimes she'll even wake partially up and then fall back asleep. (Unlike DD1 who would wake up immediately as soon as we tried putting her down and SCREAM.) She's too young yet to worry about it, but she's pretty easy compared to what I am used to!

I'm no help. Brayden has to fall asleep nursing...and he screams if you set him down, in a swing, his bed, etc. He's used to me napping with him, and sleeping with me at night. I go back to work on Monday and he's going to have to learn to go to sleep in a swing or his pack n play or something. But he screams bloody murder...so its going to be a rough transition on him. I've tried transitioning him but can't stand to hear him cry.

Momma to Alex (2005), Cadence, (2008), Ethan (2010), Brayden (2012), and Adrianna Elise due September 19th 2014
