Anyone else ever hear phantom cries? Sometimes when baby is sleeping I think I hear her crying and I go in to find she's still sound asleep. This actually happened more often during the first couple of months--perhaps my exhaustion had something to do with it.

I do. I hear phantom noise from my first hours after she went to bed. lol I once took care of this little autistic boy for a year, and when I stopped, I could still hear the noise he made for months.

I did with dd, but not this time with Ds. Maybe because dd woke a lot in the night and Ds doesn't.

Thank you GraysMama for my beautiful siggy!

I do; I did more in the beginning, too. But usually when I would go check and he would be sound asleep, within 10 minutes of my falling back asleep he really would cry.

Well I sleep with my baby and I will wake up hearing it when he is asleep and during the day if he is laying down..or with one of my girls and I walk out the room I have went running thinking that he was crying. It is probably all our mother instinct.

I used to hear them a lot when she was a newborn. Now I think I hear her when I'm in the shower. Any time I take a shower when I'm home alone with her and she's napping I end up turning the water off at least once to listen because I think I've heard her cry.

Oh yes. Me and DF did this a lot in the first few months. [DF said it kept happening at work haha] then it stopped completely.

But now, in the past few weeks it's happened a couple more times. Though if I am ever outta the room for more than a few minutes I have the monitor so I know it's just me being crazy.
