In the past 2 weeks, I've had 3-4 episodes where an air bubble will get stuck under my ribs & cause breathing to be insanely painful!! It has to be pregnancy related -- before this, I can't remember the last time I've gotten one of these! Anyone else?!

I have only had it happen once during this pg but over the past year it has happened way too many times to count. I always feel like I need to go to the ER because I'm having a heart attack or something. I hope you feel better soon and it stops happening so often.

Ouch! I haven't had anything like that. Sounds painful.

Hmm, I always thought that was my lung "lining" (as it were) catching on my rib? For me, the only thing which works is to just breath very shallowly until it goes away. Do our DDC resident nurses have any input?

I get it periodically, although not thus far in pregnancy. What a weird side affect, Lindsey, I hope it goes away for you shortly!

I had that with dd and it turned out to be gallbladder stones. You might run it by your ob. But if it doesn't get worse it could just be baby pushing up on your lung just right...hope it goes away soon...

thank you bokkechick for my wonderful siggy

i get this about once a week, pregnant or not. it sucks! it's very painful. i've talked to regular dr's and my ob about it, they have basically told me just to deal with it, and if i have a lot of gas causing it, to take gas-x or something of the like
