Since it was brought up in both of my other threads, thought I would give it its own. Anyone planning on delaying the cord clamping/cutting? If so, why? (benefits, etc...)

we're doing it this time. Delayed cord clamping increases the iron stores in the newborn's blood, as well as the overall blood volume. My first son was clamped right away (C/S birth) and he was diagnosed with iron-deficiently anemia at 9 months. Don't want that again.

If you delay cutting the cord then you can't bank the cord blood, correct?
