I'm 39+ weeks and I had a dr appt this afternoon. They checked to see if I'm dialated (only 1-2 cm) but just a few minutes ago I had a dark brown discharge. Should I be alarmed? Is that my mucus plug??? I imagined it being different.

Yep, totally normal. After dtd or a cervix check it is common to bleed especially later on when it is so soft and tender. It was probably a tiny bit of plug mixed with old (and thus brown) blood.

Yeah I had my membranes swept yesterday and have been having brown discharge ever since. Hoping our babies come soon!

Yup, just irritation from a check. No worries unless it's red I believe.
