So I am now thinking of crib mattress. There are so many I dont know what the differences are other than prices. Are there specifics I should looks for in them?
DO you have any recommendations or ones to stay away from?
I know you want a firmer one and not pillow top (which makes no sense why they even make them).
Which one did you buy or are planning to?

Thank you for the amazing siggy *Kiliki*

We are getting this one: Amazon.com: Naturepedic No Compromise Organic Cotton Classic Lightweight Dual Firmness Crib Mattress: Baby

Whoops clicked the button before I finished typing. Anyways, the mattress is something I was worried about as far as chemicals and all that fun stuff. People were all up in arms about the chemicals in that car seat study but baby spends a LOT more time in a crib then a car seat so that worried me the most. This site: http://healthychild.com/safe-non-tox...rib-mattresses has some good info and concluded this basically:

The outcome of extensive research into all the crib mattresses on the market is that the Naturepedic No-Compromise Organic Crib Mattress is currently the only waterproof organic crib mattress available in the U.S. that is genuinely non-toxic.

So that is what we went with.

Thanks kiliki for my siggie!

I got one for $35 at Walmart! It's lasted and it's firmer than most of the more expensive.

The cheap one for Wal-Mart is what I have always used. It is firm and no crevices so it is easy to clean. Since we are not using a crib this time I won't be getting one.
