One would think that I should remember this (I mean, DS is my 3rd child! LOL), but I am freaking out a bit. I was EBFing William until @5 1/2 mo, when we started small amounts of Rice Cereal for @ a week, then moved on to small amounts of Oatmeal for a week, now, he is eating new veggies and fruits, as well as cereal. I nurse him when he wakes up (8am), then nurse him before a morning nap (10am). He sleeps until 11-12, then I feed him @4oz veggie and 4oz fruit, then nurse him before his afternoon nap (@2pm), then nurse him @4pm when he wakes up, and feed him 4oz cereal and 4oz fruit or veggie at dinner. Then nurse him before bedtime (7:30pm). He seems to be pretty satisfied, but I feel like I can't decide if I'm feeding him too much, or too little! I guess I should just follow his cues, but I wanted to see what your LO's feeding schedules are like...

Emily probably eats 8 times a day ...but that is mostly just breastmilk.

I feed her baby food once a day usually at night to get her good and full so she sleeps better.

I think it will be different for every baby. The important part is that the doctor is happy with the baby's weight/height and growth.

DD eats roughly every two hours, an assortment of oatmeal, veggies, fruits, and formula. A typical day would be something like this:

Breakfast: 2oz oatmeal, 2 oz water
10:00 feeding: 4oz bottle
Noon feeding: 2oz vegetables or fruit, 2 oz water
2:00 feeding: 4oz bottle
5:00 feeding: 2oz vegetables, 4oz bottle
7:30 feeding: 4oz bottle

She doesn't always drink the whole 4oz bottle of formula.

She's in the 75th percentile for her height and weight (17.3 lbs & 26 in at 6 mos), and her doctor is happy with this feeding schedule. He wants us to start adding more veggies and fruit though.

I usually just feed the babies whenever they are hungry but that tends to be every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. They typically get baby food once a day around noon and the rest of the time it's breast milk

We aren't using any solids yet so he still nurses anywhere between every 2-4 hours. I think as long as you nurse BEFORE you offer solids, you are doing fine. You just want their primary nutrition from you, not baby food.

Sofia gets 1/2 serving of pureed food once a day - rest of the time its breastmilk.

I'm contemplating skipping the purees and going straight to table foods though...I figure it'll be easier as a transition when she gets older
