Do you have a daily routine with baby and schedule in things like tummy time and other activities or do you just go with the flow?

During the week, Madalyn is with my mom. They have a "flexible routine."

On the weekends, I let Madalyn lead ... I just try to get her to take at least one nap each day.

Go with the flow. She sleeps when she wants, she eats when she wants, she plays when she wants. She's still highly portable so its easy to have her along to drop off and pick up the boys from school, run errands, etc. She's pretty laid back and as long as she's with me or dh she's happy.

No schedule here. She sleeps when she's tired, nurses when she's hungry or fussy and she plays when she's happy and fed and not sleepy.

She's put herself on a pretty strict schedule during the week. On the weekends things are more lax.

We do a bit of a mix - a few times a week there are things I try to make sure we get to e.g. story time at the library, yoga etc. But the rest of the time I work around when she naps and her own schedule. Of course, right when I think I can predict what her timing is she has a few days like the last few where teething has messed everything up. :-) Love the way babies keep us on our toes!

Go with the flow. Like marybethsmom's daughter, Michael put himself on a pretty regular schedule anyway. He wakes up around 5 to eat, and then we play and get ready for the day, and we go over to my friends house (I watch her baby) and both boys take naps...eat, play, take naps...eat, play, take naps....and then we go home and eat, play, and take a nap. lol. Then he goes to bed at 8. and then wakes up at 5. etc.

I go with the flow but he's kinda put himself on a schedule. He has to eat before I take my older kids to school and when we come back home he eats again and sleeps till 1130 and then eats until we leave at 12 to go get my son. Come back about 1245 and he eats and goes down for another nap till about 2 and then go get my daughter at 230. When we come back from getting her he's usually up for a bit playing or in his swing. Takes a nap while im cleaning and making dinner, then he's usually up for the good portion of the evening.

Jonah made the schedule. There are certain things that we do daily but it isn't at a set time.

Then he will eat again we will play for about an hour or two and he will take another nap this repeats till around 6:30 I will feed him and we play and he gets a bath and then gets read for another nap which is maybe a half hour long eats at 9:30 goes down for the night at 10:30pm and doesn't wake up till 8:30am.

theron has himself on a schedule, every morning peyton, theron and i all snuggle in bed together...my daughter just started doing that, gives him a chance to wake up, and then we go out and watch cartoons and he eats, plays, sleeps, we usually watch a movie together and he is like that..he naps at the same time as his sister and goes to bed at the same time as her

I have always fed on demand with all my babies. After a few months they tend to develop a pretty typical routine on their own. Emma is just turning 4 months so she still rolls around on the blanket and we just let her decide when she needs a nap and for how long is up to her. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this stage!

We do both go with the flow and have schedule things in the day. For Hunter he has to get lots of tummy time since he's lagging behind in the head department, so i dont schedule a particular time, but have a number of times I want him on his tummy. My DD has a scheduled nap time in the afternoon so no matter what we're doing we have to be at home for her nap time. Besides that it's just play time or running errands.

We go with the flow too, for the most part. I try to get tummy time in once a day but it doesn't always happen. Lol. She generally plays on her may once a day, at least. The only scheduled thing we do every day is changing her diaper at 1:30 and then feeding at 2, since that's when I have to leave to pick up the girls I nanny for and then she gets her bottle of pumped milk at 4pm.

The only thing we really have scheduled is morning time getting up and getting ready! I work all week m-7:30-3:30 and the rest of the week 8-4. Off on weekends!!

Adrianna sitter is great and does belly time and all that good stuff! She only has 2 babys full time that is Adrianna and Nina!! They are a day apart!!

When picking her up last night she says to me. We did circle time today and we had so much fun. I said whats that?! lol, well she had her part time kids so she had for they all got in a circle and was singing days of the week, colors and months!! I was like WOW this is awesome!! I know if I cant get it in everyday she is always working with her to so this helps alot!

Nap time is the only thing on our schedule, and morning nap is flexible. The long afternoon nap where both kids sleep I try to be a bit more rigid about. If we run errands or go to community ed play time or play group we go in the AM.

A little of both. She always has a nap about 2 hours after she wakes up. From there, it's her call on feeding, naps, and playing until dinner time. From there it's a scheduled routine until bed time.

The only things that are scheduled are things like Gymboree, story hour, appts, etc... Other than that we have a routine (the Baby Whisperer EASY routine) that we follow.

I try to fit in tummy time, story, cuddling time, play by himself time, play with each of his parents time, etc...but no set schedule with it.
