This is another "Help I need sleep!!" thread.

Nora's been sleeping very restlessly the past few weeks and we are up multiple times (sometimes7-8) putting her back down. Even still, she was only eating once overnight. The last 4 nights in a row, though, she's upped it to 2.

Why?? She's been eating 8x a day for 3 months, now she's up to 10x per day. Is this normal? Does it just mean she's not getting enough? I'm so exhausted at work I know it's affecting my performance. Maybe it will get better once we start solids in a few weeks??

It's hard to not drink a gallon of coffee every morning!

How much is she eating per feeding? Meghan was waking up in the middle of the night & I upped her oz & she's back to sleeping through the night. 6 months is a growth spurt, if you're getting close. Big hugs, hang in there!

Glad the extra ounces are helping with Meghan, I read through your thread, too

Nora rarely gets bottles so Im not positive how much she's eating, though I'd guess 4 ounces based on what I pump. I've thrown in an extra nursing session before bed but that doesn't seem to make a difference. When EBF how else do I try to up her intake?

Hmmm, that's frustrating! Madalyn wakes once at night to BF and that works out for us. I'm sorry that Nora is having trouble sleeping ... I guess I don't really have advice, I just wanted to say, Sorry!

I am not sure if solids will help any. Luyando eats solids once a day in the afternoon but still started waking up 3 times for food at night. I give her the bottle of breastmilk most times but she takes just 4-6 oz, stops eating, goes to sleep and wakes up again. When she is done eating, she is done. You can't convince her to slip an extra ounce in. She just starts spiting it out and playing with her food. I think its part of the 6 months deal and some babies handle it better than others.
