How are the babywearers doing? I am not loving it lately because it is so hot. I wore her today in the 90s and we were both just so sweaty. Does anyone have any experience with a water carrier? I would love one for the beach and pond.

we are still going strong for now I got a backpack carrier (evenflow naturalfit) to replace the kat'n at over 20 lbs the poor kat'n just could not support him anymore lol I love the backpack carrier in comparison though its so much easier to put on and so much cooler. here is my little boogaboo takeing a nap in it last week.

I seem to be pregnant agin though so im not sure how much longer ill be able to use the new carrier as most the weight ends up on the stomach strap. Iv heard woven wraps are good for babywearing while pregnant as you can set them up where everything is suported by your chest and shoulders insted of your tummy and hips. but wraps still terrify me and im the proud owner of a serious wiggler and I cant get past the idea that he is going to flop his way out of a wrap.

I own a Mei Tai, but haven't used it much yet. It was just not workable during the winter and now I've just not gotten around to using it ... maybe if my next one is born in the spring!

Hubby and I both wear Avrey in a snugli seated carrier and he loves it. It can be rough though in the 100 plus weather. I was looking into a water ring sling for when we go to the pool and just to use since its hot and the mesh will be cooler. There are a lot of DIY ring sling videos but I'm not crafty and don't if I'd trust myself to attempt to make one lol

The boba wrap has pretty much been retired, and we are using the ergo in a front carry. He loves being in it, but now that he is at the 20lb mark, it is starting to hurt my back to carry him for long periods of time.

We are still going strong; I still had her on my back during our cruise on Saturday. It is winter here (more like US spring weather) so it's nice and cool.

We still love our Ergos! The Ergo Performance is much better for this hot weather...we still sweat, but it breathes a little better. Abigail prefers to be carried on my front, and George is definitely a back-carry guy now.

Kristen, here are some ideas for a water carrier: http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f9...ath-sling.html

I dug up that thread this weekend because I want one for the pool!

I am wearing Mathieu less these days, he wants to roam free, loves the stroller now and it is hot... we are about to leave on our trip to bc on saturday so we will likely use the carrier more during that time. especially in teh airports etc. I also had no idea you could get these for the water -- i am sooo going to try to get one before the summer and even before saturday looks so awesome!!

Has anyone tried the Kozycarrier? I met the lady who owns the company and all the baby stores sell them. Its copied from the mei tai carrier.

We use the Ergo Sport (on DH most days) a lot in hot weather... As for home use, I will wrap or sling him

I carry Emmy in the ergo while at work watching the girls. So the greater part of 3 hours. My back has started getting sore though since she's about 22 lbs.
I'm really sad that I can't get into the wrap as much as I wanted to. I keep thinking I will make more of an effort but it's so muh easier to just clip on the ergo! But boy does it get hot now. She's already a sweaty baby...
Today I am meeting my mommy friend who has a mei tai that her baby doesn't care for and we are swapping it for my moby wrap for about a week. I'll get to try a mei tai and she a moby. Hopefully her daughter will take to the moby more and she can get one to use.
