The babies had their 9 month (adjusted) appointment with the Pediatric Developmental Team yesterday, and I just have to brag on them a little

George is 19 pounds 12 ounces, 28 inches long; Abigail is 18 pounds 6 ounces and 28.5 inches long. Their percentiles are still going up, so they are doing great in the growth department. We met with the nutritionist, and she was pleased with how much they are eating and their interest in solids and table foods.

Next we met with the Physical Therapist and Early Intervention Manager. They watched the twins play and had them do various activities to evaluate them and their progress. Some activities they had them do: hold two objects and bang them together, they hid an object under a cup to see if they would find it, had them stand, crawl, and try to walk, listened to the sounds they were making, had them try to imitate what I was doing, etc.

Both babies are scoring at the 10-month (unadjusted) mark or higher...so they have caught up to kids their actual age The goal is to have preemies catch up by age 2, so they are rockstars

We had one last hearing test for them as well, and they passed with flying colors.

SO, now we're just "normal" and we will schedule their regular well-child appointments with their Pedi, but no more special care or anything unless I have concerns. I'm so proud of my babies!

Thanks for letting me share

Aaaww, that is such a great news. I was surprised to see how much they've grown in the picture you shared in another thread and they are so adorable. Kudos to you for all the hard work (and sleepless nights) you've put in. May they continue to excel in every area of their lives. Congrats.

Sisters, friends forever
