I'm the first of my friends to have a baby so I'm not sure if this is the norm or not.... But Sunday is my shower with my friends and sorority sisters. As they RSVP, they have been telling my mom that their moms and them are coming. I don't know some of their moms at all and no moms were invited... Is it some tradition that you show up to showers with your mother?

We threw a shower for my best friend last year. It was at her sisters house. It was only a small one. Anyway her mum was invited, but no one else's mum was asked. Her bfs mum would have been invited but she died years ago.
Thank you cavewoman for my beautiful siggy!!!

No. that is not a tradition. I think it's rude to bring uninvited people to any event.

Sounds weird!

If it happened to me I would feel the more the merrier... but I don't have a rented hall or caterers or anything.

If it was a shower for someone and I only knew that person and none of their friends or family I would bring my mom along to keep me company. Honestly I have had mom tag along with me to some of the birthday party's I take zoe to because I dont know the other moms and honestly I am not one to make friends and socialize easily. So i guess im on the fence about if its strange or rude guess it just depends on the situation.
