With both OB offices I have been to, they mention the NT test but don't schedule it unless you request it. I think the Materni and tests like it have been around for a few years but are just getting to be more trusted and used. My OB did not mention it to me though. I had already read up on it and requested it.

I did the NT. No one mentioned the new blood tests. I know the University hospital does them, so I'm not sure why - cost maybe? We aren't finding out the gender, and I only did the NT for the u/s, so it doesn't matter much to me, but I would think they would want to push these over the NT.

Im having mine done Friday - then I guess it takes a week for the results... so that would put me at just shy of 14 weeks!

I believe they have been around for a few years but not something typically discussed unless you are over 35. Typically, I believe if there is cause to suspect abnormalities in the NT scan they follow up with the amnio. Amnio comes with a lot of risks so these blood tests have been offered as a less invasive alternative to get those answers. I know with Panorama (which covers more tests than M21), there is a restriction on the timeframe in which the blood has to be drawn. If you miss this window, you have to opt for the NT scan.
I will still have the anatomical ultrasound scheduled, but I opted for the Panorama because it was the same price ($145) as tellmepinkorblue.com which I was going to do for the sex. Also, I am missing large portions of my family tree and having this screening done put me at ease while giving me the added bonus of finding out sex earlier on
