So I was excited b/c I thought DH and I finally had agreed on a name that we both liked for the baby. We were thinking Huntley Tyler (my husband's name is Tyler, and I don't want a Jr. and I want to keep the first name starting with an "H" - DD is Hayden). Anyway...we told his brother and his brother's girlfriend this weekend what we were thinking and they both said they don't like the name Huntley. Ugh. They said they can see boys making fun of him when he's in school. Opinions on the name Huntley? Do you guys agree it's not a good name for a little boy? This name picking thing is impossible. It took us forever to agree on Hayden for DD too.

I say stop worrying about what other people think. Let them feel like morons for saying this stuff when the baby is named. Some people didn't like our choice (Elsa) when we first said we were considering it, but once we said it was a done deal, everyone kinda shut up and started saying "ooh that's so cute".

You are not alone. I told my parents the name my DH and I have, barely, agreed upon, finally, for our second DS. The first name that we have agreed upon is Elijah, Eli for short. The middle name which my DH really likes and I'm still getting used to is Garrett. I really like James as a middle name to Elijah, but DH dislikes it. My parents both don't like the name Elijah Garrett, but have said that they'd support us no matter what we call our second DS. It has taken my DH and I a long time to just agree on a first name. ugh... At least my DH has agreed to keep an open mind should I come up with another hard "G" middle name.

lurking from July but I have won a few name battle by telling DH that I have to push this little person out of myself and then keep him alive with my breasts for another year all while not being able to freely drink. lol. It worked with the first 2 boys! now with our 4th boy we are a little more agreeable. Hope ya decide on a name you both like.

This is why we don't even tell people our options beforehand! I just don't want to hear their crap.

Kids will make fun of ANY name- don't use that as an excuse not to name him Huntley! if you like it, use it!

I really like Huntley! It's different. But I agree...people will always have an opinion. If you and DH like it, go for it. We are having this debate right now since DH CLAIMS (*cough*BS*cough*) he thought Lileah was pronounced LIE-lah instead of like Lily. I was like ummm no. I've been calling her Lileah outloud for almost 3 weeks now lol so I don't buy he didn't know how it sounded. Now he acts like he doesn't like it. I'm like ***? So I don't know what we are gonna do. I'd like to go with Lilyana (Ah-na) Ivy but who knows. I'm so annoyed lol.
