So I had been getting mixed information when I asked by word of mouth, but I finally have a straightforward answer from member services. Most Kaiser plans DO cover electric pumps now. The reason not all doctors/nurses know this though is because it's new to 2014 births.

Call: 1-877-291-5204

You can only call AFTER baby is born and have 180 days to order the pump. It is an electric pump. From what I have found online it's an Ameda Double pump.

So happy because I was just getting ready to shell out for one!

Nice that they give you an electric one.

I need to call BCBS and see if I can get a pump with the plan we have. I have had severely low milk supply issues with my other two.

yeah my insurance plan now covers half of a double electric pump, or all of a single electric pump. However, I was able to score a double Medela electric pump for $85, which is less than half - so I just bought it instead.
