yesterday I photographed a birth (so awesome!). While mom was laboring I overheard her tell the nurse that she thought she was having a big baby and the nurse said "oh honey, he can't be THAT big, you are tiny" and my client laughed and said she weighed 160something pounds. WELL.....the baby was almost 10lbs of PURE SWEETNESS! Nobody expected him to be quite that big! I was thinking 8lbs tops. lol. So that brings me to you guys. If you had to guess right this second how much your baby will weigh...what would be your guess?

I'm thinking this one will be around 6.5-7lbs. Our babies tend to come a little early, so I'm expecting this one to as well. Here's our line up: 7lbs 10oz, 7lbs 8oz, 6lbs 10 oz (4), 6lbs 15oz, 4lbs 15oz (36 weeker), 6lbs 3oz

I am a FTM so I purely guessing based on nothing other than the size of myself and my husband. I know that isnt always telling of anything, buuuutttt.

Im saying around 9 lbs and 21 inches. Wouldnt mind going a few days early, but have no idea

Just a guess!

Also a FTM so I can only go off of our birth weights as well. My mom is TINY and I was 10 lbs 3 oz!! My husband was well over 9 lbs. I'm 5'7" (120lb start weigh) and he's 6'5" (200 lbs) so I think we'll be having a big baby!!

Mine seem to be getting smaller each time! lol They are also always born early so that's probably how it will go this time too.

#1- 38 weeks 6 days 7lbs 5oz
#2- 39 weeks 0 days 7lbs 13oz.
#3- 39 weeks 0 days 6lbs 12oz
#4- 38 weeks 2 days 6lbs 5oz

So, I'm going to do with 6lbs 10oz. Somewhere in between the last two

I suspect mine will be on the larger side.

1st- 38 weeks= 8lb
2nd- 38 weeks= 8bls 15oz
3rd- 34 weeks= 5lbs
4th- 38 weeks= 9lb 6oz
So if we hold true to form then this baby should be in the 8-9lb range!

DD was 8 lb 9 oz at 41 weeks. When the nurse announced her weight, my doctor thought the scale broke! (turns out she was 22 in long and super skinny - still is). None of us thought she'd be that big. (DH and I were just under 6 lbs and 7 lbs respectively, each 3 weeks early).

I am 5'9.5" and was 7 lbs., 10 oz and 21" at 41 weeks, and my ex is 5'10" and was around 9 lbs and 19" at 41ish weeks.

#1 - 9 lbs and 22" at 38 weeks#2 - 8 lbs., 9 oz and 21" at 39 weeks
#3 - 5 lbs., 4 oz and 17.5" at 35 weeks
#4 - 9 lbs and 22" at 39.4 weeks

DH is 6'2" with an athletic build, and was 8 lbs., 13 oz and 22". I'm not sure how far along she was when he was born. It's hard to say right now what she'll weigh, but I'd guess 9-9.5 lbs between 39-40 weeks. And between 21-22".
G 12.04 | E 11.06 | D 11.08 | H 12.09 | R 11.14 | Expecting #6 2.17.18.

My first was 8lb 6oz, though I think that might've been inflated a little from being on iv fluids for a long time once they put me on pitocin. I'm going to guess 7 and a half pounds for this one.

My first was 7lbs 10oz at 39 weeks. I expected larger because I was 9lbs 11oz and my husband was 8lbs 10oz!

DS was 6 lbs 15 oz at 39w4d. I'm going to guess that this one will be between 6 and 7. I was 6 lbs 13 oz at full term and DH was 7 or so; so it wouldn't surprise me at all if we had another smaller one. Which is fine with me; I feel bad for my aunt. Both her kids were over 10 lbs at birth with one of them being like an ounce off from 11.

#1 was early so he doesn't count,
#2) 6-12
#3) 6-11
#4) 8-3
#5) 6-9
#6) 8-2

If it's a boy I'll say 8 3 and a girl close to 7 lbs.

That post about the iv fluids reminds me of another thing, if your doc says your baby is 'losing too much weight' while breast feeding, and you were induced tell them to shove it. Remind them of the fluids. People who have studied this think that technically babies should be given their birth weight at 24 hours old.
