I was feeling restless leg syndrome and thought it was due to magnesium. But now I have gotten my hemoglobin and ferritin levels back and they indicate that I am quite low. (Close to being anemic). So I have started taking an iron supplement. Just wanted to let others know who are experiencing RLS to get your iron levels and iron stores checked!! Low iron I have researched can cause RLS, also anxiety!

Hmm, interesting! I take an iron supplement and I definitely haven't noticed the RLS as much lately. I think for me it partly relates to how much water I drink too though.

Thanks for the heads up! It's crazy how deficiencies can cause some really strange symptoms!
Thank-you Bokkechick for the beautiful siggy!

my grandmother had RLS her whole life-- i've always understood that it was a nerve disorder like RSD or fibromyalgia. ...am i wrong? or do you mean that these deficiencies just exasperate symptoms?

i mean, i've heard caffeine can make symptoms worse, but i've never heard of RLS being *caused* by something.

hm. i think i need to do some research.
