Hi, I'm pregnant with my first. My mom passed away 6 years ago. When I think about it, I feel sad that she won't be here to help me, enjoy her grandchild, etc. It's not fair and everyday I try to stay strong and not let it get me down. Has anyone else lost their mom and how do you cope? The one thing that keeps me strong is knowing that the unconditional love my mom had for me is the unconditional love I will have for my baby. She took care of me, then I need to stay strong to take care of my baby. Another thing is all the stuff I'm going through, my mom went through with me, so I smile knowing how much she loved me. Wish I could tell her thank you!

Welcome and Congratulations! I have not lost my mom so I can't say that I know what your are going through. Sounds like you are being very strong through all of it though!

Welcome. I am sorry you are missing your mother. That is an emptiness few understand. There are certain times when we really want and miss our mother and this is one of them for sure!

I am not sure if you are a person of faith or not. If so, remember she is with you and watching over you both. I know it is not the same as having her here on earth with you but, it can help.

Again welcome to the group. This board has very caring ladies on it and we are sharing our journeys together. All the ups and downs.
Mommy to Jack 11, Christopher 9, Kaitlyn 7, and
Ryan 18 months.
