question about DTD after baby - 12 weeks PP and sex is still painful.

I am trying to describe it the best I can...I don't think it is a problem with lubrication...it doesn't feel "irritating" and it doesn't actually hurt during sex, the pain comes after. It feels like my pubic bones have separated and I can barely walk.

we have tried different positions, being more gentle, etc but it is still excruciating. Is this normal? When will it stop?

I have never had any problems before baby and my postpartum check up was normal.

I'm thinking of calling my OB

thanks to claire1979 for my gorgeous siggy

Might it be pubic symphisis problems? I had a couple treatments for it because it felt exactly like you describe. Maybe your OB could tell you if its that.

I hope you'll find what's wrong and that it gets better soon

I'd call your OB, just to be safe. I still hurt at - oh, I don't know, 10-ish weeks? I've stopped counting weeks already Anyway, I still hurt, but it's during the act - not after.

Thank you Jaidynsmum for the siggy!
