On Eagle's Wings always gets me with Marshall. I picture him on eagle's wings flying above the clouds.

Cliche, but Baby Mine gets me with Jonah. Know when Dumbo's mom tries to soothe him after he's been ridiculed for his ears? I get defensive of Jonah's appearance, and this song brings me to my knees.

I have stopped listening to music, though. There are praise songs that I adore...but Elton John had it right "Sad songs they say so much". I can't go there because I'm afraid of getting stuck again.
my thanks to Claire1979 for the awesome siggy!!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

There was a HUGE rainbow on the day Katrina was born still. I believe it was her telling us that she is safe and doing well wherever she is. Because of that rainbow, Jon's sister sang that song at her funeral.

"Beautiful Boy" by John Lennon. My favorite Lennon song ever.

I imagined, I mean very clearly imagined in my mind, singing this song to Noah as a lullaby. That is never going to happen. I would listen to that song over and over and over again for months following his death. Now, I just can't bring myself to listen to it.

Thank you to Jaidynsmum for my beautiful siggie!

I'm Barb, Mom to Angel on Earth Julia Rose (7*22*08), her twin brother Angel in Heaven Noah (7*22*08), and rainbow baby Sydney Noelle (12*4*09).

*a special 'thank you' to all the blinkie creators for their talents*

"Joey" by Sugarland...the chorus is "Joey, I'm so sorry" and that is the most overwhelming feeling still, is that somehow I failed him. He had so many things against him...I was offered induction at 39+1 but I turned it down saying we'd wait until 40+1. The first line of the song is "What if I said yes..." When I went to my appt. at 40+1 he was gone. I know I didn't fail him, I know its not my fault, but I don't think I'll ever be able to get rid of that feeling.

Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen...but my fave version is from American IdolJason Castro Lee DeWyze

You Are Mine Its a Church song

When i get where I'm goin by Brad Paisley & Dolly Parton

There's more, but I can never think of songs when I need to...I'll think of them over the next few days or if I hear them. ;)

My sleeping angel was born 6/16/10. A song that reminds me of her would be "If I die young" by band berry, its beautiful. There is also Avril Lavignes "I miss you" I hope this helps.

The Very Thought of you. We played the Elvis Costello version at the burial ceremony and Seth's headstone has an etching of a daisy and says "I see your face in every flower"

The very thought of you,
And I forget to do
The little ordinary things
That everyone ought to do.

I'm living in a kind of daydream,
I'm happy as a king.
And foolish tho' it may seem,
To me that's everything.

The mere idea of you,
The longing here for you,
You'll never know how slow
The moments go till I'm near to you.

I see your face in ev'ry flower,
Your eyes in stars above.
It's just the thought of you,
The very thought of you, my love.

The mere idea of you,
The longing here for you,
You'll never know how slow
The moments go till I'm near to you.

I see your face in every flower,
Your eyes in stars above.
It's just the thought of you,
The very thought of you, my love
