And is not highly offensive, but I totally felt my place in life as a mommy of a stillborn baby.

The line says, something about having more than one outcome. Yeah, there can be. "We're expecting" A in we are expecting to take home a baby in 9 months, but something terrible could happen and we might not get to!

When they persisted in questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." John 8:7

Why don't we talk about the other outcome!!? Being new to this community I never realized it! And it REALLY makes me mad!

Stillbirth is the result of 1/160 pregnancies, not 1/160 WOMEN... I hate that the subject is so taboo.

We don't talk about it because it makes those that have never experienced uncomfortable. It is one of the worst outcomes a parent can imagine, and as a result it makes people uncomfortable. People avoid things that make them uncomfortable. Also, people can't imagine what it is like and they don't know what to say to one of us that has been through it, so in a lot of cases they say nothing. These are just generalizations that I've experienced/deduced along the way, and there are always exceptions.
