I'm new to this group, and wanted to say hi.

My son was stillborn Feb 26, 2007 at 20 weeks. I went to bed with what I thought were braxton hicks contractions, and woke up about 2 hours later in horrible pain with them 2 minutes apart. We rushed to the hospital (normally a 45 minute drive, but took over an hour in a snowstorm) where they couldn't find a heartbeat and then told me I was fully dialated. Within 20 minutes of arriving my water broke, and shortly after that I delivered our son. The dr said he had been gone a few days. I will never know exactly why, but the Dr offered 3 reasons... either my placenta seperated, the baby or I had an infection, or he was tangled in his cord.

I also have a 15 year old daughter who is no longer driving me nuts since she is driving

I am so sorry for your loss. It's horrible but the women here offer great support. I had my son born sleeping at 38w2days, so I know how it feels to lose a baby. You can never forget your son but time will help you learn to live with it. Goodluck dear.

Oh honey, I'm so sorry. I lost my baby girl last May at 38w1d. I also went to sleep and when I woke up my baby was gone. It makes going to bed hard sometimes.

I wish there was some way I could make you stop hurting.
Thanks to babydoll213 for the siggy! My kids' blog Cora's blog

{{{HUGS}}} from me, also. It has been about 8 months since I lost my daughter at 36 1/2 weeks. I still have bad days fairly frequently, and I am fairly new here but the ladies here have been a tremendous comfort. What is your son's name? We named our girl Hope.
