for 2 years we have used only water for our wipes. but now having a girl, her girly bits have a stronger natural smell than the boys did. i have been debating for much time now wether or not to buy premade wipes solution bits, but i didn't want to be tied down to yet another product i would have to purchase.

today we came up with a super easy solution in 3 super quick steps, i never thoguht it would be this easy and i had everything at home already! you can also google 'wipes solution recipes' and find a bunch of sites that list them as well!

in a foamer bottle (or spray bottle):
1. heat 2+ cups of water (enough to fill your foamer or spray bottle half way) in the microwave until very hot but not yet boiling
2. pour into your bottle until it's filled half way
3. cut a piece of all natural bar soap (we use blue house soaps) and throw it in the bottle with the hot water to dissolve - you could also use baby soap but if you do add a tsp or 2 of some kind of oil - olive, canola, vegetable..
~*add 2 drops of essential oil if you want*~ we used lavender, but tested before it was added and dh and i both loved it.
shake and go!

so mama's what do you do for a homemade wipes solution?

I've just been using water with a squirt of aloe and sometimes a few drops of tea tree oil.

Thank you Natalie (MrsStuartD) for my Beautiful Siggy!!!

I use water, baby shampoo, baby oil (both Nature BabyCare from Target, LOVE LOVE LOVE the way that stuff smells), a drop or two of each TTO and lavendar essential oil. I love it, it smells great, and it works great for us!

I just started using Punkin Booty Bits, I got two sampler packs that will last a long while for me. But once they're gone I'm totally trying this out!

Any solutions with essential oils give DS a horrible rash, so now we just use a squirt of unscented Dr. Bronner's and some olive oil mixed with water.

Thank you leecat for an AWESOME siggy!

I boil Water, baby wash, baby oil, and baby lotion in a put and pour it over my wipes, easy enough for me.

I did use hot water with a squirt of baby wash and a few drops of tea tree oil, but then I got some PBB and LOVE them. I only use those now.
