The first prefolds I bought were Swaddlebees. I thought they were Indian because of the color but now I realize they are unbleached Chinese prefolds. They washed up SO nice. Didn't shrink too much and didn't fray around the edges. The I ordered some more prefolds from Jillians Drawers: 10 infant Indian, 10 preemie Indian and 5 White Chinese Infant size I believe. Well, the Indian ones have threads all over the edges after I washed them a few times to prep. Plus they shrunk a LOT.

I just wanted to post that for people who are about to buy prefolds. I mean, they are all so cheap, so its not that big a deal, but I would def. recommend those Swaddlebees if you want a quality, unbleached diaper. Although I know some of the white Chinese diaps are not bleach, but whitened with another process. For ME, the whole bleach thing was one of the BIG reasons I didn't want to use disposables. Bleaching leav es behind carcinigenic chemicals that I dont want on my baby's bottom!

So, that's my two cents on that.

The other thing, I was told that the infant size would be really bulky on my baby in the first couple weeks, so I got some Preemie prefolds. I think that was such a waste, lol, as they are SO tiny, espcially after shrinking up so much in the wash! So, last night and the night before my 3lbs Yorkie/Chihuahua mix had awful Diahrea. SOrry if that is TMI, but we all deal with poop here, so............ Anyways, I figured, OK, I guess I can use these preemie diapers for SOMETHING! And would you believe I had a hard time getting them to fit o her? This is 3lbs tiny dog! I eventually DID get a good fit, used a snappi and was thankful I did, but after she used up 4 diapers in 3 hours, I was sick of having to rinse them out each time (plus bath and wash HER each time) so I switched to disposables.

I feel like such a bad mom, LOL. I gave up on the cloth after only 4 tries, LOL! JK- Shiloh is a dog, not a baby and hopefully Caden wont poop that many times in a row. And if he does, he will be much easier than my FURbaby to clean up, hopefully!

The cottonbabies chinese prefolds are the ones I have bought in the past and I love them! Don't get too frustrated just yet. It does take some practice to get a good fit. I would recommend practicing on a doll or stuffed animal instead. And in the beginning your baby will at least pee almost that often, which is why prefolds are a good starting diaper. I just bought infant, but I still have to fold it down on my daughter and she is 6 1/2 months. Keep trying! You can do it!

You might be surprised about the size. My 9mo old still fits into infants, and I think they would be pretty big on a newborn. That is so cute about your little dog, your story made me smile
