My oldest daughter has been asking for a baby brother on and off for months. She doesn't know that we are expecting a new brother or sister soon, though. I keep telling her that if we have another baby, we don't get to pick if it's a brother or sister. Still she talks about her baby brother.

She even got in fight with her 5-year-old cousin last week because she kept insisting she has a baby brother and her cousin kept reminding her that she does NOT have a baby brother. My DD was insistent, though.

Today we were talking about it and she said, "I already know it's a little brother, Mom." I asked how she knew she would have a little brother someday. She responded, "I can see him." I asked where he was, where she could see him. She said, "He's in your tummy, silly goose!"

My face did this:

She has no idea a baby is on the way! It was so crazy! Maybe she knows something I don't. Maybe there is a baby brother in there after all...

I've heard of kids being really intuitive and "in tune" with what is going on. Maybe she does know something you don't know!!

OMG! NO KIDDING-My younger one always asks for a sister. We told him that he wouldn't have another brother or sister, probably. Tonight, DH said something to both kids, and my younger one asked about "the baby". My older one then said, "Oh, yeah. I thought it would be a sister, but now we both get to have baby brothers!" My younger one yelled back, "NO! Mama has a SISTER and DAUGHTER!" We haven't said ONE WORD in front of the kids. Of course, they disagree on what it is, but that they're both sure that there's something in there is CUH-RAZY!

When I was pregnant with my first, another child (around age 4) pointed to my stomach and said "what's her name?" I am pretty sure that the kid knew I was pregnant but we hadn't had any gender scans by that point. Turns out she was right! My husband and I always joked that if we got pregnant again we would track down a 4 year old to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. So I would say that your daughter could certainly be on to something!

Oh she probably has seen and talked to her brother. Children are still open and unjaded to spirituality where as we adults are closed off bc of our different beliefs or lack there of. Children are fresh and spiritually strong so if she says she has a brother she knows of what she speaks...lol

TOO SWEET! I have heard of this happening plenty of times. I believe the little ones do have a sense of inuition. My daughter is almost 4 and told me the other day that when my stomach grumbles there is a baby talking in there. She is crazy!!

WHOA...that is amazing...I got chills. Now if you have a little boy...that is going to be amazing! I cannot wait to hear how this turns out.

My son kept telling me he wanted a brother before I miscarried in Jan, well we told him we are having a baby and he keeps saying it is a girl....so I am interested in how this turns out.....

Kids are amazing.
