I have such a hard time drinking water. I feel so sick if I have more than 3 glasses a day and this was before I was pg. i normally have two glasses of liquid a day, if that. I'm trying to up it because with DD I started having contractions at 26 weeks from being dehydrated.

Any tips on how to get drinking more water? A lot of it is because I don't feel like I need it, I don't like the taste and I just don't remember. :/

I find when I get sick of plain water the flavored stuff like MiO helps! They have lots of different flavors too. I feel lucky in this regard though b/c I am like a water fiend, I love it (has to have ice or be ice cold though!).

I agree, I use MIO.

It might sound weird but if I have peppermint like york patty or hard candy then ice water taste awesome with it.

I add fresh lemon to my water otherwise I would gag drinking it!

Im not a fan of the Mios but I do try to flavor it with fresh fruit, doesn't help lol. :/ I'm a desert person lol. But I know it's not good for baby.

I'm not the best, either, unless I REALLY make an effort. I've been better over the last year, while trying to lose weight. I forget to drink water, too, but having water beside me at all times helps. If it's close, I'm more likely to drink it. I don't love the taste, but I try to just drink it anyway.

I do like the flavored, carbonated water drinks (the carbonation makes it taste better IMO, and it is also more tolerable to me when I am nauseated)...though most have some kind of artificial sweetener, so it depends on how you feel about those. Or you could try soda water mixed with a little fruit juice or something to add a bit of taste.

Last pregnancy, I threw up if I even took a sip of plain water (between 6 weeks and 22ish weeks), so I just did the best I could.

Try the flavorings and make sure it is ice cold. I can't stomach room temperature water.

Wow I don't know! I'm a water addict carrying a bottle around even when not pregnant. So it's easy for me. Maybe try the fruit flavor waters. I love those!

def lemon makes it taste better ... and our stomachs can usually handle water better if it's ice cold.

I also always have water with me, or near me and I always mentally remind myself to continue to sip. I constantly am sipping all day, better than gulping it down.

people tell me I am crazy when I tell them that I dont like the taste of water and still dont when I am pregnant. Lemon water is best or maybe a little sprinkle of crystal light.

It might just be in my head, but I like bottled water better than filtered water. It just tastes better. If I do drink filtered water (which I've read somewhere is better for pregnancy, so I'm doing it now) I ALWAYS put a lot of ice, and squeeze a little juice of lemon or lime, and throw a wedge in the water too. It's actually becoming one of my favortie things, and I'm really bad about water. Good luck!

Mine has to have LOTS of ice, and I squeeze about 1/4 of a lime it. Plain water makes me gag. Yes, that little bit of lime makes a HUGE difference. Also, if it gets to the point where it's not cold, I dump it and get fresh. I find it easier to keep drinking at work because I keep it right on my desk, but at home I'm busy with other things, and I don't do nearly as well.

Thanks ladies. I'm thinking I'll need to get a water bottle and mark times on it so I have to drink that much before the time on the bottle. I think it's the only way for me to get it down. I've tried all the flavorings and it just doesn't help. I also have to have it ice cold, aim almost better at eating ice than I am water.
