Last night I realized that I probably have a UTI. I've never had one before or at least not been aware of it. I was reading something online about a pregnant woman who had a feeling like she had a misplaced tampon in. This turned out to be a uti. When I read that, I thought it was really strange. Then yesterday I had that same feeling. This made me start thinking about how my urine has been darker and smelled stronger than usual. Then later, it burned a little when I peed. So, I'm pretty sure I have a uti. Sounds like it, right? Well, now I'm spotting light pink. Ive read that utia can cause you to spot. Have you heard or experienced that?? I'm not having any cramping or anything other than very slight burning when urinating. I really don't want to worry, but it's so hard not to.

When I was pregnant with DD, I had a bladder infection when I went to the Dr for my first ultrasound.. about 9 weeks. I didn't have any spotting, but I know spotting isn't uncommon in early pregnancy. Hopefully one of the girls on here can help you with that question. My understanding is that a UTI is better treated in the beginning of pregnancy, so you can always call your OB/midwife and get screened for it. If you have one, you can go on antibiotics (safe for pregnancy of course!) and it will feel better. Try not to stress about it and call your caregiver in the morning.

Ugh, yes I have! I get a UTI a least a couple times everytime I get pregnant. I get them pretty frequently anyway, but it is super bad when I am pregnant. I always had some spotting because of it. That is why they get you in so quickly to get an antibiotic. I am sure you are going to be okay!

Get yourself to the Dr girl I agree with the ladies who said that spoting or light pink when you wipe is super normal for a UTI. With 1 of my other pregnancies I had a UTI in my first tri and I had spotting during it. Keep us posted hun and try not to worry

That's normal with a UTI! Drink lots of water, to keep your urine diluted. This is silly, but if it burns after you pee, take a bath or put a really cold washrag down there. Also, the spotting comes with UTI's. I have something called interstitial cystitis, plus reccurrent UTI's, and trust me, that's normal.

I wouldn't worry. Nothing antiobiotics can't fix! They happen all the time with pregnancy.

I know it's hard not to worry! I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers!
