I used to drink tons and tons of water but the past few days (week maybe) I have had this NEED for fruit juice and sugary caffeine free drinks (Faygo - Kiwi Strawberry!!) Oh and orange juice with lots of pulp... even though I used to hate orange juice. I'm trying to still drink my water but I know I'm not drinking nearly as much as I was before.

Anyway it isn't just drinks. Anything sweet has become my best friend. Fruit leather! Fruit snacks! Luigi's Italian ice... popsicles. Muffins and white chocolate macadamia cookies. Yum.

I know I need to cut back (if for no other reason, to save my teeth!) But what exactly are the risks to my baby? I am still eating other foods so my days are not STRICTLY junk, meaning I'm not replacing "real" food with sweets... I'm pretty much eating a ton of food but all the extras seem to be sugar filled snacks.

Cautiously expecting our 1st!

I'm actually the opposite. I usually want chocolate and sugar. But, since I found out I was pregnant and have a history of gestational diabetes, I don't really want it. I don't know if it's psychological or not... but, I honestly don't want chocolate which is really really strange for me. I do find that I want a little juice though, which I don't usually ever drink juice.

Try to be careful with the sugar you dont want to develop gestational diabetes. I craved anything with sugar on it when i was pregnant with my son...i use to dip strawberries in sugar and eat them. Then my doctor told me i had borderline gestational diabates so i had to change what i ate.
