I think most oven cleaners say not to use while pregnant. Not sure about anything else

DH is cleaning right now. He's actually the cooker/cleaner in this family I ended up going outside because I wasn't sure if I should be inhaling any of the fumes.

I avoid anything with "fumes" visible or not. The best cleaners you can use for your family in general are made by Melaleuca. They are all natural and completely safe. Even young kids can help clean with them. I know a lot of people who swear by them.

I generally would avoid anything fume-y, too. I know some messes (like cleaning the grill, ew) require some stronger stuff, but I do the majority of my cleaning with vinegar and water. I have a few things I use a bleach solution for and I use Bar Keeper's Friend on the stove. The vinegar and water is really excellent though--it doesn't stink, it's safe (even to injest) it disinfects and cleans and it is super cheap. My 3 and 4 year old each have their own spray bottle of 1/3rd white vinegar 2/3 water and they use it to clean the baseboards and stairs (they're closer to the ground, why should I bend? lol)

How nice that your hubby is taking on the cooking and cleaning though!

I rid my house of all chemicals last spring! Every cleaning product I use now is through Melaleuca (in fact just about all products In our house are theirs minus my shampoo and conditioner) their products are all non-toxic and natural based. I never have to worry about my kids getting into anything and since I've switched over I don't get migraines and headaches the way I had been.... I completely recommend them! You do have to be a member to get the best pricing tho, but this month it's only $1 to become a member and you get $100 in free products over 5 months! Sorry for the sales pitch! I just love them! Let me know if you want more info...
