I tried to ask this question on the cd board but after no responses I will post it here.

What are your favorite cloth trainers and inserts for overnight??

DD is 4 and still wears a pull up at night bc she just cannot wake herself up to go potty and I decided I refuse to buy any more pull ups...this is making for a lot of sheet changes in the middle of the night*I bought 1 kissaluvs pocket trainer but do not have any inserts so I have been stuffing with an old onsie...it works okay but is so bulky and she is still a little damp in the a.m. I do not want to spend a fortune of trainers but looking to buy 2 or 3 maybe.

The goal is to have her in cloth so she wakes up when she pees in the middle of the night like she does when she is wearing panties but not have the mess to clean up(change sheets , pj's ect.)

I've always used Fuzzibunz or BumGenius for overnights. I don't stuff them with anything additional and he's never woken up wet - he's usually in them 12-14 hours total.

However, they won't give the wet feeling of underwear because they wick away the moisture, like regular diapers. Not sure if prefolds/covers would be different though.

We just made the switch from pull ups at night to a prefold and cover, too. Last night was Gabe's first night, and it seemed to work pretty well until he decided to pull it off. He ended up climbing in bed with us and had nothing on and peed in MY bed. Grr... I think I'll probably have to buy some kind of extra insert. I bought just one of these Amazon.com: Thirsties Duo Hemp Prefold, White, Size Two (18-40 lbs): Baby and it came as a single, which was the only single I could find on Amazon. We don't really need more than one anyways, I can wash it everyday. But after last night I think he'll need a little extra padding.

I would look into getting some Toddle-ease fitteds with pull on covers, or maybe Motherease bedwetter pants. Or even just some pull on covers to use over underwear if you have some well padded undies. Dappi and Bummis make the main pull on covers, Dappi nylon are good and cheap!

I don't really believe in trainers and don't know much about the cloth trainers. You could search etsy or hyenacart though.

Oh for cheap inserts I would get Indian prefolds or flour sack towels or birdseye flats. Those all make excellent cleaning rags afterwards too
