I have been so out of shape since my daughter was born 2 and a half years ago. Finally in January I found an awesome modern dance class at the local university twice a week. I'm not sure if I should continue because it is really exhausting and it is a Martha Graham class, which is basically all about abdominal contractions and twists. I had a little spotting after a class last week, which I pretty sure was just a remnant from my implantation bleeding a couple of days before, but freaked me out a little. This session ends March 23, so I will probably just go until then and not start a news session. I haven't been yet this week.

I was thinking of starting up Zumba or something to maybe try to be fitter by the time this little one is due.

I think Zumba would be good until the last trimester. There is a lot of bouncing involved.

If I were in your situation I would ask my doc about it. I've read that if your heart rate should stay below 140.
