Thank you. I thought that is what His wisdom is but couldn't figure out LAM.
DS: 4

Mom to 4 beautiful kids! 3 on Earth and 1 in heaven. Our little girl, Matilda Hope had Down Syndrome. She was born with TMD, a disease that is like leukemia. She fought that and beat it. Then, she had liver failure. She beat that, too. On October 17, 2014 she had NEC, necrotizing enterocolitis. My baby went to Heaven on October 19, 2014. She lived exactly one month.

I've had the paragard for a month and I love it. I figure it will be a good back-up until my period comes back regularly and if it's real heavy, I'll get it pulled and go back to NFP. DH is completely set on not having anymore kids so I hope paragard works for a while until we can truly make a decision if more kids for us.

IF we ever have sex again I'm thinking we might go this route, although there has been no real discussion. I asked DH his thoughts on birth control (I'd like a third, he's happy with two) and he didn't give me any straight answer. Last time we were willing to go for #2 whenever it happened, so we used LAM and it worked perfectly until I got AF back at 13mo pp.

In the past pull&pray has worked with no issues, so we might go that route. I won't consider BCP's until DS is done BF and I don't see that being anytime soon.

My doc is pushing Mirena. But my husband has all of the sudden gone all "oh no" to birth control. I'm 31 and he is 35, this is our first, so I am so confused. I really don't know what I'm gonna do.

My OB started me on progesterone-only BC at 5 weeks PP. I know it's not supposed to impact milk supply, but mine dropped within a few days. I was still feeding the baby ok, but after 5 days I couldn't pump anything - I literally got nothing but a few drops when I tried to pump. I stopped taking the BC, and my supply came back up. Not sure if it was coincidence or not, but I won't be chancing hormonal BC again until after 6 months.

Do you realize that Mirena is hormonal? Paraguard isn't.

Me and birth control don't get along too well. I tried the mini pill after my first period came and I was on it for 3 days then started bleeding and I bled for another 6 days (longer than my actual period) and I got off of it. I pretty much stopped bleeding immediately. I had something similar with depo, except I was on it for a year and bled all year long. So, when I had bled for 6 days straight immediately following my period, I told myself I wasn't putting myself through it again and just got off of it. I'll do the NFP, OPK's and pull & pray method. NFP worked for us in between baby #2 and #3 (didn't have to worry about #3 to #4 since DH had a vasectomy - then a reversal later).

Family planing is the good option and for birth control Tubal Ligation is the best way.

I have the Mirena right now and it has wrecked my body. I am getting it removed on the 12th. We will be doing pull-out and NFP afterwards. Eventually my husband will get a vasectomy.
