So I started my new strict diet today, and using the meter to prick my finger and check my blood. It's not so bad I guess. I am much more tired today, I guess since I am not taking in sugar, but I also have a nasty cold that is tiring me out. I have to check my blood 4 times a day. 1 in the morning after fasting, and 2 hours after each meal. My numbers for the day were 130, 110, 103, and 130. Not horrible, but not good. I am looking forward to seeing those numbers drop. Also, Chase was not as active today (but active enough for me not to worry), so maybe he is feeling the low sugar count also. I probably just kept him up last night with all my coughing and he just slept most of the day, poor little man!

Aw! I hope as time goes on your body adjusts to the lower sugar levels and things even out for you. Did you get a rundown of what you're supposed to eat? Far as I know protein and complex carbs are your friend because they don't immediately hit the bloodstream, and they keep your blood sugar stable for longer. Good luck girl!

What range are your numbers supposed to be for fasting and for after meals? What are some foods you have to cut out now? Good luck and keep us posted!
