Apparently, the third week of March is National Poison Prevention Week. SO...in honor of that:

Have you ever had to call a poison control center?

Do you have the number for Poison Help memorized? Is it posted for your DH or other caregivers/babysitters to easily find? Is it programmed into your cell phone?

If not, DO IT! 1-800-222-1222

Thanks. It was not programmed into my phone, but it is now.

On a side note: I'm working on SO to get rid of most of the chemicals in our home. If baking soda and vinegar work that well, why have all the other stuff around?

We did that recently. We are using only homemade cleaning products now which consist mostly of vinegar and water, essential oils.

I've had to call poison control once as a nurse when we had someone come into the ER who had ingested something we were unfamiliar with treating. I have the number memorized and so does DH.

I've got it memorized, and we've also got the magnet on our refrigerator. I did go ahead and add it to my phone, just in case I ever get in a panic and can't remember it, and I sent it to DH to do the same.

So far, I've never had to call for personal reasons.
