So I head back to work after being off for 14 weeks. I am dreading leaving Ember at daycare even though I love the daycare, its still not being home with me. :/ This weekend was lots of cuddles and I will go see Ember at lunch for at least a few weeks. I'm sure this will all be harder on me than her or at least I hope that is the case. Wish me luck. I am going to be a wreck in the AM!

Im happy that youll be able to visit Ember on lunch that will be a bright spot in your day!

I have been back to work for a few weeks but I work from home. I think I might do better if she was in daycare because I feel so bad I can not give her all of my attention. I have been trying to convince DH to let me be a SAHM with her and DS until he starts Kindergarten at the end of the summer. So far it hasnt worked.

Thank Kiliki for the siggy!!

This morning was ROUGH! I broke down a few times, but it got better because I knew I was going to see her soon when I went over at lunch. She was sitting in a bouncy when I got there and when I said "hey honey" she gave me the hugest smile and put both hands over her head almost like she was reaching up for me. It was precious! I hope tomorrow is easier.

It gets easier. Next thing you know you'll show up and she'll be doing something new to make you proud. I cried like I was physically hurt the first morning I dropped Evan off. I was even 30 minutes late because I didn't want to leave! Keep your head up

awe how was your first day back? It is very difficult to leave baby behind. I just started back to work last Saturday, but so far have only worked every other day which has been great and easier for us to get back into the swing of working.

I think I was more heartbroken leaving my 19 month old behind because when I was heading out the door he tried to put his jacket on. He had it on upside down and was grabbing for his boots. My daughter realized I was going to work when she saw I had put my scrubs on. She took it OK. Jamison cried a whole lot when he realized I wasn't home. He watches the door for me to get back.

The first week was pretty rough. The mornings were the worst and it got better as the day went along. I would go see her at lunch and then leave right at 5 to go get her and love on her Ember seemed to be happy whenever I was there and loved watching the other babies in the room.
