Sorry if this is TMI...
I went to the bathroom (#2) and then I wiped. There was bright red blood on the toilet paper and some in the toiler mixed with the water. I'm not sure , but I think it came from my butt. What would you suggest? Wait and keep checking. Or call the dr.?

Sounds like possibly hemorrhoids or a fissure or something like that. Me personally, if I knew it wasn't vaginal bleeding I wouldn't bother calling the doc, just get lots of water and fiber to keep BM's soft and avoid straining when going #2. If it were to continue, get worse, or cause a lot of pain I would call the doc tomorrow during regular hours.

90% of the time, if it's bright red bleeding after a bowel movement, it's from a tear, usually due to straining. My DD has this every few weeks or so and after the first time I took her to the doc, they said don't worry about it, just avoid straining as much as possible.

Thank you ladies for the fast response! That is what I was thinking too. I just wanted someone else's opinion as well.
