Hi ladies!

Just wanted to share a few pics and an update. Things are going really really well. Grady is such a sweet baby. He was born at 6 lbs and started losing weight right after so they have been monitoring him really closely. We are feeding every two hours which is exhausting but worth it. At his doc appt today was the first time he's gained weight instead of losing. He is at 5 lbs 6 oz now and breastfeeding like a champ. Breastfeeding was a slow start at first but you have to stick with it and you and baby will learn together. I'm so happy my milk has come in and it has gotten easier. So far he has maintained low levels for jaundice which is such a relief.

My husband and I are so in love with this little man. I am so exhausted and emotional but it's the best kind of emotion. I'll write out my full birth story later, but it was 11 hours of labor. My induction started at 2:00 (water bag had a leak). Contractions got really bad at 4:00. I got my epidural at 6:00 and started pushing at 11:00. He was born at 1 AM. I feel really lucky to have progressed so quickly. Although I wanted an all natural birth I couldn't be happier. Recovery has been a breeze. I only had a small tear and I'm feeling almost 100% myself. Grady was a champ throughout the labor and we didn't have even one scare with his heart rate or anything.

Hope you are all doing well! I am so excited to see more May babies! Enjoy those bellies. I do miss being pregnant but it's so nice to hold my baby and have all the symptoms gone! I'll be checking in more often as we have less visitors and more down time. Also, thank you all again for your love and support. It was so fun checking in here and seeing all of your sweet messages!

aw you all look great! Congrats mama! I'm glad to hear you had a short labor as a FTM and most importantly that you've recovered. Don't worry about baby losing weight, it's normal. I glad he's gaining now and that BFing is easier.

I think I can safely speak for most if not all the other May mamas and say that we are READY to pop out those babies and be done with the pregnancy discomforts. I for sure will not miss being pregnant lol

Awe yay! So good to hear from you, Melissa! I love the pictures, thanks for sharing. Grady looks sooo darling. What a little precious bundle. Your hubby looks so happy in that one picture! Good job, little mama!
I'm glad your labor went ok and that it didn't take too long. Sounds like the epi was a good choice, especially with being induced. Ugh. I remember those pitocin contractions well. They are NOT fun. And either way, you got your Grady at the end, so it doesn't make much difference!

Hope you're getting a little rest and glad the BF'ing is going well! Congrats!

You started a wild fire and this time that is a good thing!!
Your son is adorable!! Such a precious bundle.

I think you have really calmed some nerves for me being a FTM.. If you did it then I pray we all have the same easy experience.
Enjoy the new born presence!! I'm soooo happy for you!!!

Awwww, he is such a little darling and you look absolutely amazing!!! I'm so glad that you had a good experience, even though it was different than what you were hoping for.

Don't worry too much about being here more or less - we totally understand and you want to enjoy your time with Grady and your hubs and I'm sure you're crazy busy... so take your time!!

Those pictures are so sweet, thanks for posting Thanks to you, I am in constant fear of early labor (losing mucus plug, constant BH contractions, increased BM frequency......). I will definitely NOT miss being pregnant Congratulations on everything!

Thank you so much for the update! You look entirely too good for just having gave birth! Little Grady is stunning. <3 My DD was just an ounce bigger than Grady is now when she was born! Man I love peanut babies! Enjoy every sweet second, I know you will!

*Thank you so much to Jaidynsmum for my beautiful siggy!*

Congrats! I'm glad you came back and updated 'cause I was wondering how y'all were doing since he decided to make his appearance early. Glad he's gaining his weight back! His hair is so cute! I love his hairline... my son had one similar and his hair has continued to grow like that (rather than getting weird baby-mullets like they sometimes do, hahaha). He looks like he came with his own hair style too!
