I have large pours and dry, dry skin lately, and am having the hardest time applying make-up because it looks so caked! Then if I just use a BB cream, you can see my redness and pores and bumps from a mile away! I have never been good with keeping up with cosmetics, what is good? What besides exfoliating and cleaning can make my pores smaller? What is a good full coverage concealer that doesn't make me look 65? I usual,y have nice skin (besides the pores) but now it's red, bumpy and scaly! Help!

Thank you *Kiliki* for my sweet siggy!!

I am a fan of tinted moisturizers. They cover, but don't look caked on. Also, for cleansing, nothing beats a bar of plain white Dove soap when I am pregnant. It is so mild.
Thank you Kiliki for my beautiful siggy!

No helpful suggestions here, but I wanted to pop in so I could read others' posts too. My pores are larger too, and my skin can be kind of picky with heavier make ups (right now, other than eye liner and mascara, all that I wear is mineral make up - which looks great when my skin isn't terrible, but it doesn't do much for coverage).

Thank you to Babydoll213 for my fabulous siggie!

I don't know anymore. Nothing works. I've got horrible acne and my mom did too until she finally took Acutane around 35. They've suggested it for me too but I don't trust it and would rather try something topical. I'll accept any suggestions anyone has. I feel like crap about my skin right now.

I will second the Dove soap. If your skin is dry Vanicream and Vanicream Lite work wonders.

Masks are good for large pores. I use Mary Kay. The best thing to reduce to look of pores is wash your face with hot/warm water, hot water opens your pores, then rinse with cold water to close your pores. Use a mask once a week. Always make sure you clean your face before you go to bed, rinsing with lots of water. What I do to simplify things, is keep my cleanser in the shower and then apply moisturizer right when I get out.
