I just got back from my 39 week appointment. The baby is not heads down like hes suppose to and she wants to schedule a Csection cause hes registering already to big. She thinks he will be a 10 pound baby and may have no choice and be a Csection. I am a very big woman and having a csection will be really hard on my body. They are looking into trying to see if they can manually turn him. But my question is should I go ahead and buckle and get the Csection done and over with or wait and see if he will turn himself. She said the likelihood of him turning is really small. I really do not want to get him stuck but I do not want a Csection either. My last child they said she was 10lbs and she came out 8.

Personally, I would do everything possible to turn him before resorting to the csection. If there are still options out there, use them. Just my opinion.

Have you checked out spinning babies website for exercises you can do to help? I would try everything possible...spend time on all fours, try other exercises, etc. There's always time for baby to turn. Also, you can't really trust the weight estimates at this point, so personally I wouldn't go straight to csection just for that reason either. Hoping baby turns for you!

I would try anything to get the baby to turn and avoid an automatic c section. Check out the spinning babies website, a lot of people have had good experiences there. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

I agree with the other girls. If its simply because baby is supposed to be large, I'd definitely avoid the C-section. If its because baby is breech, I'd try the turning techniques first before heading straight to the C-section. But in the end, as long as baby and mama are safe and healthy, it really doesn't matter how baby arrives.....at least that is what I tell myself.

I'd try the version and spinning babies first and if those didn't work then I'd accept a section.
