So I went to buy breast milk storage bags today and then I remembered you all mentioned that a certain brand leaked. What is the best brand of breast milk storage bags. I have the medela pump so I considered the medela brand bags but decided to ask you all what ones you feel are the best before purchasing. And those of you that pumped and stored on a frequent basis how long did a package of 50 bags last you?

I don't remember how long they lasted me, but I always used Medela with dd and they never ever leaked for me. I remember reading that some leak too, and I know it wasn't Medela.

I used Lansinoh storage bags. If they got poked then they did leak but it only happened about 2-3 times. I don't remember how long the bags lasted. This reminds me, I need to go in my freezer and throw out what I still have stored from Hailey since they are a year old.

I have read in more than one spot that the Lansinoh brand leaks.

I used the Lansinoh brand (the one that a lot of people said leaked), for 15 months and never had a leak once. I'll be buying them again this time.

^ditto, never had a problem with Lansinoh and that's probably what I'll go with this time, too.

My lansinoh bags leaked all the time! I had to defrost them inside of a Tupperware container. It was a pain in the butt. We are using medela bags this time strictly and I saw that they have attachments where you can pump directly into the bags now. I'm so excited to think about all the less bottles to wash especially if I have to exclusively pump again.

I never used storage bags. I was always worried that once they thawed out and it came time to pour them into a bottle that I'd spill them. Breastfeeding moms at my center use bags and there have been a few near spills. I always used storage bottles or (at the very end) the actual bottles. The Medela Pump n Style attachments are standard bottle sized so you could even pump straight into many bottles.

'Scuse the bad typing, please. 'Breast is Best' but not when browsing the internet!
