Hello, it has been a while since I have posted here. My name is Jenna, I have two boys; Branson (7) and Zayne (2) and now I have Ava Cathlaeen who will be 3 wks old on Thursday. I am sorry that I have not kept up with the ddc, however, I was so busy that last month as we are adding on a room to our house and being a teacher I was working on lesson plans for the teacher who took over my classes for the rest of the school year.(8 weeks) I had a scheduled csection on April 4th due to having the Anti-E factor in our pregnancy. We were not sure if the baby was affected so we had to go to a specialist every week to have her monitored. After 36 weeks, however, the test are not completely accurate, something to do with the size of the baby, so they recommend delivery between 37-38 wks. My ob was nervous about keeping her in and her become anemic and us not know, so we delivered at 37 weeks. I could not have asked for a better csection, except that the person who was doing my spinal block could not get it in. I could not tell you how many times she stuck me. She tried for about 30-45 min. before my ob, who had eventually come into to see what the problem was, became very angry and told her to call in someone else. That guy came in and apparently she was getting it the entire time, but she was going too far(whatever that means) He got it in on the first try. The csection went well. Ava was born at 8:20 a.m. at 8 lbs. 4 oz. She was my smallest baby. She had a little jaundice, but otherwise, was not affected by the E factor.(YAY) She is nursing like a champ and gaining weight. I, however, have had a little bit of a difficult recovery. I am not really all that sore from the actual incision, my back is what is bad. It was pretty bruised from all of the sticks. It aches all the time, and I still cannot stand up for long periods of time. I am just ready for it to ease off, so I can start getting back to normal. I look forward to seeing all of your little ones, and have enjoyed reading your birth stories so far; and I am glad to be back.
