of course youre not a bad mom because you arent ready to leave him yet. If youre not ready then dont do it, you wont enjoy your time away if you are worried and upset the whole time. My oldest son was 5 months old before i left him with MIL (i should add that i adore my MIL and she is the ONLY person, other than Dh, i will leave my children with)

I have to agree, that I think it is perfectly fine, safe, and normal to not leave him with anyone yet. I mean he is almost three months... That's hardly past the newborn stage! There is not a specific time line anyways. Like most parenting decisions, it's a matter of oppinion anyways.

Gee, I was thinking the opposite, that I was bad for leaving my baby for a couple hours last week with his grandmother. You have to do what works for you and your family. Don't listen to other people.

You are definitely not a bad mum. You have to do whatever you are comfortable with and if you aren't ready to leave him with anyone yet then don't.
